Key duplication help
Everybody has had a hardware-store key copy that sticks, jams, or will not quite turn. The cheap machines wander, and a worn original gets copied worn. Whether you want a single key copy or need a spare key made for everyone in the house, we cut on calibrated equipment and, when it makes sense, cut to the lock's original code rather than tracing a tired original. The result is a key that is as crisp as the day the lock was made.
We are mobile, so when you need to have a key made for the house or office we can come to you across metro Atlanta. A spare cut today is far cheaper than a lockout call tomorrow, and the same logic applies to car keys: copy one while you still have a working original.
Some keys have "do not duplicate" stamped on them, or they are on patented high-security keyways like Medeco or Mul-T-Lock. Hardware stores cannot cut these and will turn you away. We handle restricted keyways with the proper authorization from the keyholder, and we carry blanks for high-security systems.
If you manage a property or a business, key control matters. We set you up as the controlling authority so future copies require your authorization, not just anyone walking in with the key.
A spare house key cut right now costs $15 to $30. A home lockout call starts at $75. The math is obvious, and yet most people wait until the key is gone before thinking about it.
Cut two: one to keep with a trusted neighbor or a family member, one stored at home in a known spot. For cars, a spare cut while you still have the original costs far less than replacing a lost key from scratch, especially on newer transponder systems.
What we duplicate
Different keys need different equipment and, in some cases, specific authorization. Tell us what you have and we will confirm we can handle it before we head out.

Single and double-cylinder deadbolt keys, including patented high-security keyways like Medeco and Mul-T-Lock.
Physical key cylinders on smart deadbolts still need a real key copy. We cut it cleanly so the backup actually works.
Small keys for mailboxes, padlocks, storage units, and garage entries. Often cut the same visit as house keys.
How it works
We cut to code rather than tracing a worn original, so the copy works cleanly from day one. We confirm we carry the blank for your key type before driving out.
Let us know what kind of key, how many copies, and where you are. We confirm we carry the blank before heading out.
We quote per copy on the phone. No surprises.
We cut to code where possible, not just tracing a worn original, for a copy that works cleanly.
We test the copy in the lock before we hand it over so you know it works.
Cost and options
Standard house and padlock keys start at $10 to $20 per copy. High-security and patented-keyway keys cost more because of the specialized blanks. Car transponder keys need cutting and programming, which is a separate automotive service.
We often bundle key cutting with other work, like a rekey or a lockout, so you leave with everything you need in one visit.
Final price confirmed before work starts. Transponder car keys require cutting and programming and are priced separately.

FAQ
These answers cover what we hear most. A quick call is still the fastest way to confirm the details for your exact situation.
Usually a worn original copied on a loose machine. The new key inherits the wear plus the machine error. We cut on calibrated equipment and, when possible, cut to the lock code so the key is accurate, not a copy of a copy.
We can duplicate restricted keys with the proper authorization from the keyholder or the system owner. That stamp is a control measure, and we respect it, but we have the means to make legitimate copies with the right documentation.
Yes. A transponder key has to be both cut and programmed to your car. We do both, so the copy actually starts the engine, not just turns the lock. This is priced as an automotive service.
At least one for the house you can reach in a pinch, and ideally one with a trusted person. For cars, always keep a spare so a lost key is an inconvenience, not a tow.
