A Decatur couple wanted to ditch their traditional keys and go fully keyless on their front door. We installed a Yale Assure Lock SL with a touchscreen keypad in satin nickel: a slim, sleek deadbolt with no visible keyhole on the exterior. The backlit touchscreen lights up when you touch it and disappears completely when not in use, giving the door a clean modern look.
We connected it to their existing Wi-Fi network via the Yale Access module so they can lock and unlock remotely from their phones, check the door status from work, and get notifications whenever someone enters. We programmed unique PIN codes for the homeowners, their two kids, a house cleaner, and a dog walker, each with their own code so the access log shows exactly who came and went. The auto-lock feature re-engages the deadbolt after 30 seconds so the door is never accidentally left unlocked.
Installation took about 35 minutes using the existing door prep, and we walked them through the Yale Access app setup before we left.
