A commercial property owner in Buckhead needed fire-rated exit devices installed on two rear stairwell doors to bring their building up to code before an upcoming inspection. We installed Von Duprin 99 series panic bars, the industry standard for commercial exit hardware, in brushed aluminum finish to match the existing door frames.
Each unit was mounted with proper through-bolt reinforcement for hollow metal doors, and we verified that both devices met the 15-pound maximum push-force requirement under Georgia fire code. We also installed LCN 4041 door closers on both doors to ensure they self-close and latch properly after each use.
Total project time was about three hours for both doors, and the building passed inspection the following week.
