Keypad Lock for Brookhaven Police Department

The Brookhaven Police Department needed a more convenient access solution for their front entrance. Officers and staff were cycling through physical keys -- losing them, forgetting them, and dealing with the hassle of tracking who had copies. We installed a Kaba Simplex 3000 series mechanical keypad lock on the front door's narrow-stile aluminum frame. The Simplex is a purely mechanical push-button lock -- no batteries, no wiring, no software to manage -- making it virtually maintenance-free and ideal for a high-traffic government building. Staff enter a shared combination to unlock the door, and the key cylinder below serves as a backup override. We programmed the initial access code on-site and walked the department through how to change it whenever needed. The lock is vandal-resistant, rated for over 100,000 cycles, and carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty. One less thing for Brookhaven's finest to worry about.
