Commercial Exit Device Installation

A commercial property owner in Buckhead needed fire-rated exit devices installed on two rear stairwell doors to bring their building up to code before an upcoming inspection. We installed Von Duprin 99 series panic bars -- the industry standard for commercial exit hardware -- in brushed aluminum finish to match the existing door frames. Each unit was mounted with proper through-bolt reinforcement for hollow metal doors, and we verified that both devices met the 15-pound maximum push-force requirement under Georgia fire code. We also installed LCN 4041 door closers on both doors to ensure they self-close and latch properly after each use. Total project time was about three hours for both doors, and the building passed inspection the following week.
