ADA Auto-Opener Installation

An Atlanta business owner needed their main entrance upgraded to be fully ADA-accessible for employees and clients. We installed a low-energy automatic door opener on their existing commercial door -- wiring the motor unit, control board, and swing arm directly above the frame. The system activates via a wall-mounted push plate on both sides of the door and includes an adjustable time-delay hold-open feature so wheelchair users and anyone with mobility challenges can pass through comfortably. We also integrated the opener with the building's existing magnetic lock so the door releases cleanly before swinging open. The entire installation took about five hours including running conduit, mounting the operator, calibrating the swing speed and hold-open timer, and testing the safety sensors. The property is now fully compliant with ADA accessibility requirements -- and the owner's clients have already noticed the difference.
